Insurance-Covered, Integrated Lactation Care

Insurance-Covered Care for Families in Miami

Feeding challenges are rarely isolated.

Latch, milk supply, weight gain, sleep patterns, hormonal shifts, and nervous system regulation are interconnected. When one system is stressed, the others often follow.

Lactation care at MotherPoppins addresses feeding within the full physiological context of postpartum recovery.

Structured. Evidence-informed. Whole-system.

Insurance accepted for qualifying families.

A Whole-System Approach to Feeding

As an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with training in integrative and functional health, I combine advanced clinical lactation expertise with broader postpartum assessment.

Beyond latch and supply, consultations may evaluate:

• Maternal recovery and depletion
• Nutrient balance
• Inflammation
• Hormonal shifts
• Nervous system regulation
• Feeding–sleep interplay

Care is individualized and designed to create stability for both mother and baby.

Feeding is foundational.

Recovery is comprehensive.

What to Expect

  • A Whole-System Approach to Feeding

Feeding does not exist in isolation.

Maternal recovery, nervous system regulation, inflammation, sleep patterns, and hormonal shifts all influence lactation.

    Consultations at MotherPoppins consider:

    • Maternal physiology
    • Infant feeding dynamics
    • Environmental stressors
    • Recovery status

This ensures care is comprehensive not reactive. Initial consultations are thorough and individualized.

    You will receive:

    • Full feeding assessment
    • Weighted feed (if applicable)
    • Oral and latch evaluation
    • Personalized care plan
    • Practical adjustments during the visit
    • Clear written recommendations

Follow-up support is scheduled as needed.

  • MotherPoppins partners with third party billers to provide insurance-covered lactation consultations for qualifying families.

Most insurance plans cover office and telehealth visits in full or with standard specialist cost-sharing (copay or deductible). Exact coverage varies by plan and should be confirmed directly with your insurance provider.

    Important to Know

    • Insurance covers the clinical portion of your visit.
    • Travel fees for in-home visits are not covered by insurance and are the responsibility of the family.
    • Some plans include a copay, deductible, or cost-sharing amount.

Insurance verification confirms network status but does not guarantee exact out-of-pocket costs. We strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your specific benefits.

    If cost-sharing applies:
    • You will always be notified prior to any charge
    • No cards are automatically billed
    • You will have the opportunity to review and ask questions

  • You may benefit from consultation if you are experiencing:

    • Persistent nipple pain
    • Low milk supply
    • Baby struggling to latch
    • Slow weight gain
    • Frequent feeding with little satisfaction
    • Anxiety around feeding
    • Returning to work and pumping concerns

    Early support prevents escalation.

    Structured guidance builds confidence.

  • Followups are always offered.
